Scott began his insurance career out of a desire to help others in need. He had spent eight years as head chef for a soup kitchen and realized that there were many others who seemed well off but really had no idea how to help themselves in retirement.
This is when Scott, partnering with another non-profit organization, started teaching Social Security seminars. After each seminar, attendees had the opportunity to meet with Scott one on one to ask more specific questions.
Scott's team then started teaching Retirement Income Planning seminars which were a compliment to the Social Security seminars and this let to yet another venture; that of helping teachers and those employees in the non-profit or municipal sectors plan for the future.
